2016 Grant Cycle Opens

The Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation announces the opening of its 2016 Community Impact Grant Cycle.  Applications are due on February 12.

To assist applicants, the Foundation will be hosting two grant information sessions in conjunction with other grantmakers and the Georgia Center for Non-Profits. Plan to attend one of these grant information sessions:

   January 12th, 9am, Salvation Army Service Center, St. Marys
or
   January 14th, 9am, Golden Isles Career Academy, Brunswick

Areas of focus:

(A) Programs serving at-risk youth and which specifically address one of these areas of focus:
•    Early Childhood Literacy and/or Quality-Rated Child Care;
•    Teen pregnancy and births to unwed young mothers;
•    Juvenile Crime and Gang Activity;
•    High School Graduation and/Workforce Readiness;
•    Youth Development and Innovative Education Strategies; or
•    Risk Reduction, including child protective, substance abuse, and/or mental health services.
OR
(B) Initiatives which represent a substantive partnership between two or more service providers to promote two-generational or multi-generational approaches to improving the education, skills and collective well-being of children, their parents and/or guardians.

Grant proposals may request funding up to $5,000 each, with the exception of those proposals which target two-generational or multi-generational services which may be considered for funding up to $10,000.  Click here for Grant guidelines and a fillable application.
