We offer our sincerest congratulations to these remarkable women:  Jamie Banks Riddle - New Hope Anointing Oil; Tori Shaw -SunTrust Bank; April Hicks - formerly from CMAP; Latica Battle - Marshland Credit Union; Jenni Morris - YWCA of Brunswick; Stephanie Jacobs - Marshes Edge; Sube Lawrence - Southeast Georgia Healht System; Lisa Liguori - UGA Marine Extension Service; Kristen Moore - Merrill Lynch; Beatrice Soler - Glynn County Schools; Cate Gooch-Coolidge - Bank of America; Sarah Meyer - Rich Products.

Along with board director-specific skills such as nonprofit board governance, strategic planning, fiscal oversight, and due diligence, broader skiklls also applicable in the workplace included communication skills, relationship development, meeting tools, conflict resolution, and teamwork.

The graduates had this to say about the Insitute:

"I expected tedious and boring (but important) information but instead the workshop was interesting and compelling...group participation was the best"

"WLI has dramatically shifted my perspective on leadership in my workplace and motivated me to face upcoming budget cuts with a bold outlook including strategic plan that measures each decision according to our mission."

"Before this course, I thought that the seats on non-profit board members were reserved for those who were older, wiser, and wealthier than myself...WLI changed my mind."

If you are a board member of a nonprofit and looking for new talent, please consider one of the Women's Leadership Institute graduates and contact Ann Granger and the YWCA for further information.
