When the Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation was established in 2005, Bill Jones, III, our first chairman, issued a call for "Founders"-- individuals, couples, and businesses who would commit $50,000 to be paid over a five year period. These funds would be used to hire staff and cover operating expenses in the foundation's early years and to create a fund from which intitial communitity impact grants could be made. The board of directors set an ambitious goal of 100 founders by 2010. By endowing and investing a good portion of this $5,000,000 goal, the hope was to ensure annual payouts to help sustain the foundation over time. Through the end of 2010, we have reached 70% of our goal of 100 founders. Won't you join us in making sure that the Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation will be there for future generations of coastal Georgians?
